KITTY NIX

Prior to founding Growth Matters, Kitty was the Director of Strategic Development for Strategy, Learning, and Human Capital at Serco NA. In this role, she led a team including 10 subcontractors that captured a multi-year contract from the VA to recruit, retain and reintegrate veterans. Upon contract award, Kitty managed all operational aspects of the program while also advising senior government leaders, including political appointees, to determine strategic priorities, implementation tactics, and change management approaches. In addition, Kitty led a 2013 effort to raise over $350,000 for charities on behalf of the Serco Foundation.

Prior to joining Serco NA, Kitty served as the Director of Strategic Development for Helios HR and as the Vice President of Corporate Services for the IT consulting firm Ventera. At Helios, Kitty built and leveraged strategic client relationships and provided strategy and organizational development services to myriad clients. At Ventera, she created the corporate infrastructure that contributed to the firm’s exponential growth during her tenure, directing multiple corporate support and administrative functions including human resources, strategic development, business and proposal development, marketing, and daily operations of the consulting business. Under her leadership, the firm earned multiple regionally recognized awards for employee engagement, human resource practices, culture, and ethical business.

Kitty holds an M.S. in Organizational Development from George Mason University, a B.B.A in Computer Information Systems from James Madison University, and an Executive Leadership Coaching certificate from Georgetown University. She is certified as a Human Capital Strategist (HCS) and previously held a Senior Professional of Human Resources (SPHR) certification. Kitty was awarded the 2007 Strategic Alignment Award by the HR Leadership Awards of Greater Washington and received Serco’s 2011 Leadership Pulse Award for leading the team to successfully deliver the first year of the VA contract. In 2012, she was one of two recipients of Serco’s CEO Excellence Award and also received Serco’s Global Pulse Award for Leadership.
